DescriptionFragment of a large modeled object, perhaps a flat bottomed boat shaped vessel; blue glaze subdivided into irregular sections by bands of darker glaze. OR has surface warped with a scale like pattern, much like crocodile skin.
ProvenanceFrom Nubia, Kerma, KIV, St 9 (3). December 1913: excavated by the Harvard University-Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA by the government of Sudan.
