DescriptionSeated figures of Diana surrounded by scrolling branches of flowers and leaves. The réseau has diamond-shaped openings, formed by two twisted threads; woven into it are small square spots, such as are found in Antwerp laces. The réseau was made after the toilé, which, like valencienne lace, is outlined with little openings, instead of a heavy thread.
