The design consists of a repetition of flower sprays growing from forms resembling part of a flower substituted for the usual pot found in this type of lace; the designs are joined together by festoons; the ground is called “Fond Chant”, “Fond Double”, etc. Edged on the bottom with a narrow piece of bobbin lace.
