Ground: dark brown wool. Design: row of birds each with something in its beak, worked with wool in crewel stitch. The ground is worked solidly in crimson, the birds in blue, green, yellow, dark purple, and black (almost rotted out). Along one edge a row of crimson tabs, on the other a fringe of very dark purple twisted woolen threads.
