DescriptionBorder or flounce, made for the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary. Roses intertwined with looping ribbon; sprays of fuschia hanging down in inter-spaces. Bridges picotés form a large-scale hexagonal mesh between motifs. One edge straight; the other edge irregular with curves of roses, ribbon and leaves. Linen slightly more browned on one side. Ends finished.
