DescriptionRBW animal figurine with horns, probably cattle. Hoofs and tips of horns are painted black. Models of cattle and sheep indicate their economic importance; they may also have been placed in burials for magical purposes.
ProvenanceFrom Seali/Meris (Egypt) (ASN 40). Excavated by Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition for the Archaeological Survey of Nubia; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the Egyptian government.
