DescriptionThis bowl is fashioned of a brown clay fabric, the surfaces of which have fired to a beige color. It has a rounded base and flaring sides that curve up to a straight rim. Some pieces have broken off of the upper body and rim.
ProvenanceFrom Nubia (Sudan) el-Kurru, likely Ku 53 (tomb of Queen Tabiry). 1919: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
