DescriptionFine pinkish clay with red slip preserved at rim, finely exeuted incised decoration of uraei around rim and wavy line pattern below. Bottom smooth. Large area of restoration on bottom.
ProvenanceFrom Meroe (Beg. West) tomb 139. 1922: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of Sudan.
