DescriptionEach brazier rests on three scrolled legs with flared scallop feet that are cast in several sections. The raised circular bowl has a broad flaring rim and a sunken well at the base, at the top of which is a pierced gallery. The rim is pierced and chased on the outside with C-scrolls and shells. At the center of the bowl is a removable pierced disk formed of sheet, threaded through the base of the bowl with a silver bolt and nut. A turned wooden handle is attached to a horizontal silver nozzle at the top of one leg.
Marks On underside of each and on underside of each removable plate, leopard's head crowned; date letter h; maker's mark RG with T above and C below, (Grimwade 2325); lion passant.
InscriptionsARMORIALS: engraved on each handle, an unidentified crest (a ship in full sail).
