Chemise or underdress, forming part of a bridal costume. Wide flared sleeves with embroidered vertical rows of geometric and stylized leaf forms worked with maroon, green, and blue silk yarns, metallic yarns where sleeves gathered to meet shoulder line. Embroidery along deep rectangular neck opening, at front and along hemline which would show beneath overskirt.
