DescriptionBrisé type fan with pierced bone inner blades with white silk satin connecting ribbon. Intricately carved decorative motifs surround central medallion with painted scenes. The fan opens a number of ways to shoe various paintings. Open from right: obverse, woman kneeling, man standing with one foot on stool; reverse, two women dancing. Open from left: obverse, two women seated by a table; reverse, man and woman with arms around each others shoulders.
