Brocade dress; black and white silk imitating 18th century design; irregular serpentines with floral sprays springing alternately left and right; minute diagonal checkerboard background in interspaces; bodice front yoke and elbow-length sleeves of black net and machine-made lace, and trimmed with black velvet ribbon on edges; skirt, almost straight in front with deep flounce of black net and machine-made lace in center front; fullness of back arranged in deep loose pleats forming long train in imitation of 18th century dress; entire dress lined with white taffeta; label woven into innter waist belt: “King. Boston”.
