DescriptionThis oval Wedgewood brooch is in white relief against blue ground. It depicts a sitting weeping woman, a dog climbing at her knees seeming to comfort her, a tree which arches over her, and the rock she sits on. The simple gold bezel is framed by a heavy gold wire with a space between the wire and bezel and anchored to the bezel by four decorative sculptural elements above and below and on either side of the frame.
A pin back is soldered to the back of the frame. A thin safety chain and handmade safety pin are attached at the hinge of the pin back.
