Pendants

One of two almost identical vertically oval pendants of Italian pietra dura depicting a white trumpet-shaped flower with two olive-green leaves and stem inlaid into a black hard stone. A twisted wire surrounds the gold bezel which has a bevelled frame around the open back. The hinged sheet bail is probably not original. Unlike the similar pendant (64.629a), this piece has a pin back attached horizonally to the back of the frame. The piece may have been part of a larger construction. The mount could have been American or European.
