By mid-20th century, belonged to Aurelia Mace (whose name is on the bottom of it) of Sabbathday Lake, Maine; Part of a collection of Shaker materials begun by Ralph E. and Myra T. Tibbetts; the Tibbets collection was inherited by their daughter and augmented by Mr. and Mrs. Russell W. Knight, Marblehead, Massachusetts; 1967, gift of Mr. and Mrs. Knight to the MFA (Accession date: January 11, 1967); December 19, 2013, deaccessioned by the MFA, ownership transferred to the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Museum, Sabbathday Lake, Maine.
