Seven columned kesa with decoration of peonies. Columns, dividing bands, border, shiten: indigo silk figured satin-weave ground with painterly motifs of alternating peonies and branches with scattered butterflies. The metallic yarn consists of gold-wrapped thread. Niten: dark blue silk figured satin-weave ground with floral arabesques. The composition of the arabesques resembles the interlocking circular shapes of the shokko pattern. Lining: striped plain-weave silk (modern addition).
