DescriptionSeven-columned kesa with decoration of peony aragesques. Columns, dividing bands, borders, shiten, niten: dark blue silk three-harness warp-faced twill ground. A red warp binds the supplementary wefts of flat gold-leafed paper. Double-tendrilled gold vines connect the peony and plum blossom motifs. Lining: light red plain-weave silk.
