Seven-columned kesa with decoration of chrysanthemum arabesques. Columns, dividing bands, border, shiten, niten: gold silk ground with woven-in patterns of large chrysanthemums connected by scrolling vines in supplementary wefts of flat gold-leafed paper thread. Lining reddish-purple silk twill-weave ground with peony patterns.
