One cabinet on stand. Ebony: draws veneered with cherry. Cabinet interior inlaid with ivory. Fourteen drawers and a compartment inlaid with ivory, cherry and ebony.

 Recorded in the Hamilton Palace inventory of 1681.  See MFA curatorial recommendation, which states that the cabinet passed through two private collections before it was sold at Christie Manson Woods in 1937.
