DescriptionThis candelabra has a slender reeded balaster shaft and candle cups, all encircled with a delicate banding of foliate ornament. Graceful twisted arms holding four additional candles are finely reeded to echo the design of the central baluster. The top elements are easily removed allowing the shaft to be used as a plain candlestick.
Marks Stamped on the side of the base "SHREVE, CRUMP & LOW / STERLING / [several psuedo marks] 50"
InscriptionsEngraved in script on the side of the foot rim of both candelabra: "J. Randolph Coolidge to Julia Coolidge Dec. 18th 1885"
