DescriptionHinged wood case covered with strung glass beads (called sablé) held together with looping stitches. Polychrome design on white ground of shepherdess with crook and dog on hind legs, standing piper and dog on hind legs in landscape, swags and cartouches above, flowers on top. Case contains cockade candle screen with green silk leaf with white paper binding, steel buttons and guards; steel handle with spring. Case lined with green paper; catch opening.
