One of a pair of candlesticks, cast, on a molded circular base with a band of alternating shells and foliage on a matted ground. The reed and ribbon knop rises to a tapering stem with floral strapwork on a matted ground. The shoulders and base of the nozzle are similarly decorated. The upper nozzle is banded and engraved with no. 14.
There are two crests engraved on the base.
Warden's Mark: 1707-1708: a crowned O incomplete (Dennis, 174). Charge mark: 1704-1712: an A encircled by a crown (Dennis, 126). Discharge mark: verification mark used as a discharge mark 1704-1712: a fly (Dennis, 180) Other: a small illegible mark at the outer rim of the base.
