Rectangular cardcase. Two silver metallic thread plainweave mesh panels with polychrome silk embroidery in tent stitch. Gilt-decorated black leather bindings and four pencil holder loops that forms the closure. Design: tree with serpent wound around trunk, dog under tree at right (obv.); branch with floral (roses) wreath and blue drapery (rev.); thin black border on both sides. Red silk plainweave (taffeta) lining with two pockets. Cardboard foundation.
