DescriptionPile weaving, senna knot. Cotton warp and weft, wool pile. Field: Story of Joseph in three parts. Top: four men in turbans and capes lead boy toward three buildings at rear. Center: man in building points to foreground; hunter with bow and arrow aims at spotted tiger on gazelle; three other animals. Bottom: two men with turbans and camels give money to three men in loin cloths; well, Persian script, tree, two animals. Inner border: Persian script and floral motifs. Three additional borders with flowering vines. Predomiate colors: blue, ecru; yellow, brown details. Short fringe.
