Circular medal commemorating the centennial anniversary for the Boarding School of Medicine and Surgery. Stamped “BRONZE” on side.
Obverse: Standing king at proper right with his right hand on shoulder of seated man at proper left who has sick or dead man lying in his lap, cityscape of Paris in background with Notre Dame visible; inscribed in exergue “Lovis BoTTÉE”.
Reverse: Man seated at desk writing with a female personification behind and above him; placed on desk is a skull, microsope, chemistry set and books; inscribed above “CENTENAIRE DE L’INTERNAT EN MEDICINE ET EN CHIRURGIE”, proper right “AN/X/1902/L.BoTTÉE”, on desk etched “EXEMPLAIRE/DE COLLECTION”, and below “HOPITAUX CIVILS DE PARIS”.
Obverse: Signed in exergue "Lovis BoTTÉE".
