Probably Italian, early 18th Century irregular fragment, made of several pieces (Used as a chair seat cover).
Wide alternating pink and green stripes separated by narrow white stripes flanked by narrower violet stripes. Pattern in whitish tone shows a symmatrical arrangement of conventionalized flowering and leafy stocks on central vertical axis, giving the effect of an arabesque. Selvedges show yellow stripe flanked by violet stripes. Soiled, faded; ragged edges.
