Warp: cotton. Weft: wool. Design: the Dominican coat of arms on oval shield (black and white cross terminating in fleurs-de-lis, the shield “gironny” black and white) guarded by four dogs on a crimson ground powdered with conventionalized birds and flowers, surrounded by two borders. Inner border green decorated flowers, outer border crimson with small conventionalized plants under arches.
