DescriptionOval medal of Charles I (1600-1649), king of England, set into gilt metal frame with hanging loop.

Obverse: Profile bust of Charles I looking to proper right; possibly signed under bust and inscribed at edge (very illegible) "[CAROLUS·]D·G·M·A·[G·]BRI·FR·ET·HI·RX".


Reverse: Crowned heraldic device; inscribed on device "[HONE·SOIT·QUI·MAY·Y·PENSE]".
