DescriptionCircular medal of Charles-Theodore-Henri de Coster (1827-1879), a Belgian novelist. Issued by the Society Royale de la Medaille d'Art in 1929, probably to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth.

Obverse: Profile bust of Charles-Theodore-Henri de Coster looking to proper left, marked at proper right; and inscribed in Latin at edge and on bust.

Reverse: A man and woman (Ulenspiegel and Lamme) walking at center; inscribed at edge and at proper left.
Marks Obverse: "M" and "A" overlapping in a circle.
