Chasuble with self orphrey. Vertical curling stylized acanthus leaves and slim stalks with semi-“bizarre” blossoms flanking the orphries. Orphrey, curling leaves, stylized blossoms, and “bizarre” designs with a reticular pattern. Polychrome silk chenille yarns, metallic yarns and metal coils on a white silk ground. Edges bordered and orphries defined by metallic lace bearing a repeating stylized leaf and blossom motif. Ground torn on front.
