Chest cover (yutan) constructed of five panels sewn together to form a box with overall design of hexagon lozenge pattern (kikkô-mon) surrounding Chinese flowers (karahana) in white, yellow, orange, green and blue discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts on a reddish-orange silk ground. At the center of each panel is a large peony and leaf motif in white silk discontinuous supplementary patterning wefts. Used with 21.248.
