DescriptionAmerican, about 1895. Child's coat of deep cream colored silk faille, fitted bodice, very full skirt with fullness in box pleats, long sleeves with turned back cuff and short puffed over sleeves, just below shoulder fastened down center front with spherical mother-of-pearl buttons, high round neck with turned back collar, down each box pleat of skirt in two panels on back and front of bodice on collar and cuffs white silk embroidery in minute flowering vine design, a cream colored silk cord braided belt, lined with light tan sateen, interlined with white wool fabric with outer surfaces fleecy.
