DescriptionChild's printed cotton "double gown"; outside of brown and white in minute printed design of trefoils in squares, bands of red, black and white print simulating chiné down center fronts, as cuffs and as ruffle around neck, inside purplish brown and white printed design of bands of vertical stripes and horizontal bands of ombré and picoté; gown open down entire length of center front, skirt full, gathered evenly all around into short plain yoke, full sleeves gathered at arm acye and at cuffs, fastened with pink-printed white china buttons (only four buttons remain); much faded, several tears.
