Cream-colored corded silk and machine-made lace. Gathered bodice and skirt; wide pleated waistband of same silk. Lace-covered guimpe with high round collar. Full, puffed upper sleeves with tight, lace-covered sleeves from elbow to wrist; six lace-covered spherical buttons on lower part of each sleeve. Wide, moiré ivory silk ribbon bows on each shoulder. Long closure down center of back, with mother-of-pearl buttons and hooks and eyes. Ivory satin petticoat with lace-edged flounce. Label sewn inside collar at front: “English Warehouse / Boulevard de la Madeline /, 66 Rue Basse du Rempart / 3, Rue de Sèze, Paris. Condition fair; small holes in back.
