DescriptionChild's knitted mitten, white background with horizontal bands of ivy design, rosette at tip of mitten, red and black birds, cherry trees, cats, strawberries, cooks, and teakettles, around wrist band of letters in red: "friendship's token;" thumb darned.
ProvenanceBelonged to Henrietta Holmes. Christopher H. Coleman was the uncle of Mr. John C. Purves; Henrietta Holmes was his grandmother's sister.
