This child’s service records a personal gift exchanged to and from prominent Bostonians at the turn of the twentieth century. It also documents a preference for marking important occasions with silverware. The set was presented in 1913 to Peggy Stuart Coolidge to celebrate her baptism. It is made of heavy-gauge metal and, despite use, has survived in good condition.

DescriptionIt is with ribbing or panels that divide the plate rim and that have palmette decorations, which form the seam of these sections. The plate has a shallow basin and applied molded foot.
