One of a pair of shaped circular deep dishes. Partially fluted with a molded rim, and a large crest engraved in the bottom.

Inscription

Maker's Mark:a G with a grain, the rest is illegible. Other: Probably the Hallmark, or assay mark (Controle), for 1687-1691: Interlaced V's and a fleur-de-lis (Tardy, p. 106). Engraved coat of arms.
