DescriptionCircular medal of Pope Clement XII (1652-1740), commemorating the building compaign at the Lateran Basilica (1733-1735). A visible flaw in casting on reverse.

Obverse: Profile bust of Pope Clement looking to proper left and giving a blessing with his proper right hand; inscribed at edge "CLEMENS·XII PONT·MAX·AN·III" and on bust "OTTO·HAMERANI·F·".

Reverse: Façade of Lateran Basilica; inscribed above "ADORATE·DOMINVM·IN·ATRIO·SANCTO·EIVS", on inscription plate "LATERAN·BASIL·PORTICVS", and in exergue "MDCCXXXIII", and below "ALEX [ ] ARCH INV" and at proper right of plate "O" and proper left of plate "H".
