DescriptionAinu coat (atushi) of elm bark fiber with indigo cotton warp stripe. The wrist openings, center back, front neckline and bottom half of coat are appliquéd with dark indigo and tan cotton cloth and embroidered in the triple line technique (white, red, white) with oval, spiral and S-curve designs.
