Picture, “Columbus Sighting America.” Copy of an engraving after painting by Christian Ruben in the National Gallery in Prague. Black and white silk. Woven on a Jacquard power loom. Border on all sides. Inscription in bottom border: “COLUMBUS SIGHTING AMERICA / DESIGNED AND WOVEN AT THE / ARLINGTON MILLS / LAWRENCE MASSACHUSETTS U.S.A.” Black and white striped selvedge at right. Several small breaks in right border. (Removed from frame and a cardboard mount July, 1958)
