Circular medal commemorating the completion, begun 14 years earlier in 1838 by Luigi and Pietro Zandomeneghi, of a national monument in Italy celebrating the artistic achievements of Titian.

Obverse: Precise, frontal image of the Titian monument; inscribed at edge “TITIANO VCELLIO”, in wreath supported by two victories on monument “TITIANO/FERDINANDVS I/MDCCCLII”, and in exergue “ANT·FABRIS·VTIN·INC·”. Stepped monument consists of four columns supporting an arched pediment, crowned by lion of Saint Mark.

Reverse: Inscribed at edge “ALOYSIO ET PETRO ZANDOMENEGHI VENETIS SCVLPTORIBVS” and within wreath containing the arms of the Austrian Emperor above and of Saint Mark below “MAVSOLEVM/IN·AEDE·S·M·GLOR·VEN/QVOD·AN·MDCCCXXXVIII/FERDINANDVS·I·AVST·IMP/FIERI·IVSSIT/FRANC·IOS·I·AVST·IMP/PERFICI·CURAVIT/AN·MDCCCLII”.
