Author portrait.

Cohen-de Ricci states this as an unillustrated edition, although there is a portrait fleuron of the author on the title page (repeated in vol. 2), by Dupréel after Rigaud. The binding is attributed by the donor to Bozerian, which is plausible, as he is the listed bookseller/publisher of this edition, printed by the elder Didot.
