This cup (or small bowl) is fashioned of a reddish clay fabric. It has a flat, modeled base with convex sides and a slightly pulled/pinched rim. There are traces of a white wash. Areas of the interior are incrusted with sandy deposits.

From Nubia (Sudan) Gebel Barkal, Tomb 23. 1916: excavated by the Harvard University–Boston Museum of Fine Arts Expedition; assigned to the MFA in the division of finds by the government of the Sudan.
