One of a group of ten woodblock prints from an album, RES.09.310.1 to .10. The series probably consisted originally of twelve sheets and may have had the names of the artist and publisher on the twelfth sheet, now missing. The designs are based on a series signed by Torii Kiyonobu I, RES.09.316.1 to .11. Kiyonobu’s series includes the crest of a courtesan in the upper part of each picture, but in this version the crests have been replaced by small objects that are part of the actual scenes represented.

This design, RES.09.315.2, is based on RES.09.316.3.
