Light brown linen ground in border design of slightly serpentine stem bearing decorative large-scale flowers; worked with linen threads in red, pinkish-orange, bluish-greens, two shades of blue in oriental, lattice, stem, chain, herring-bone, and satin stitches. Label “Monterey” pattern. Embroidered by members of the Society of Blue and White Needlework. Marks: “D” in spinning wheel.
