DescriptionSmall natural plain-weave cotton cover (rumal) embroidered with silk yarn and flat wire depicting Hanuman, the monkey god, a prominent figure in the Hindu epic, the Ramayana. He carries mace (gada), his traditional attribute. He leaps from one mountain of herbs to the warrior god Rama. Background of stylized plants, trees, floral border.
