Basketry

Trinket basket having red, orange, and purple designs incorporated in close warp twining. Cedar bark plaited start. Central sunburst design on lid; sides of lid and bottom of basket are encircled with colored bands, and a Z-shaped geometric design appears four times around body of basket.

Provenance

Collected by Margret Withers between 1955-60 purchased from the daughter of the original owner. Given to the Museum in 1992.
