DescriptionHard-paste porcelain with underglaze blue decoration and gilding. Jug has an ovoid body, and a slightly domed lid with a lion finial and an everted rim. Ear-shaped handle is painted in underglaze blue and consists of two crossed straps that terminate in gilded floral sprigs. The underglaze blue decoration on the body consists of Chinese landscapes with pagodas. Bands of cross-hatching in underglaze blue on the rim. Similar decoration on lid.
