Coverlet, woven with white cotton, and red and blue wool (double-cloth, three colors). Design: diamonds and chevrons, squares, and rectangles with stylized pine-tree design around three sides. Two breadths sewed together with knotted fringe on lower edge, ragged hem on upper edge. According to tradition, the coverlet was woven for Elizabeth Bowers of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, about 1800.
