Chinese for Export. Helmet-shaped, fluted surbase, splayed foot. Curved handle with knob top. Everted rim wider & grooved to form spout at front. Painted in the “palaceware” style. Arms of Hamond.

Each painted and gilt with the arms within an entwined gilt floral and garland border, the well surrounded by a trellis diaper border reserved with panels of landscapes and birds, and on the rim with scroll-edged panels depicting landscape and agricultural views.
